Next Gen Art Dump

Here's a bunch of sketches I've been making of my Next Gens

1. Yoatl, son of Daring Do and Ahuizotl.
He is a skilled adventurer, often joining his mother on quests in the jungle. He prefers to work alone though, and spends his time tracking and documenting beasts like the Cipactli or Manticore. And when necessary, hunting down and capturing rogue beasts (so that they can be moved to an area safer for them and ponies). He tends to stay away from Pony towns when possible, since he doesn't feel like he fits in there. 
He has a problem with water, he hates getting wet.
And his tail is able to stretch great lengths; using it to wrap around things to grab them.

3. Maximus and Starfall
Max is the son of Sunburst and Trixie, while Star is the daughter of Sunburst and Starlight.
Sunburst, Trixie and Starlight all live together in a herd and had their kids around the same time, though Max is the older one by about a month.
Max is great at real magic, but prefers trick magic and the limelight on stage. Star struggles to preform any magic at all, only able of doing simple spells. She has a deep seated hatred for her brother who will occasionally flaunt his abilities over her. He was nicer when he was younger; trying to teach her trick magic they could do together. But to her it was all fake and useless, she built this wall between them and he grew tired of trying to be nice to her, so now he treats her just as badly as she does to him. She kept trying to get her magic to work and become more powerful, causing her to seek out darker magics.

4. Tenebris
He is the reincarnation of King Sombra, but he has no memory of his former life, only what the Umbrum have told him.
When Sombra was destroyed and his horn flew off, it took awhile, but the Umbrum found it and imbued it with enough magic to reform him. They used it to impregnate Princess Cadence. Shining and Cadence weren't planning to have another child so soon, but didn't think anything strange of this new surprise. But a few months into the pregnancy and Cadence wasn't feeling well. The doctors couldn't understand why Cadence was in so much pain, from what they could tell, she and the child were in perfect health. It got so bad that Cadence couldn't get out of bed she was withering in so much pain. Finally, they decided to take her to a doctor in Canterlot, but as soon as they boarded the train and left the boarders of the Crystal Empire, Cadence started to calm down and drifted into a peaceful sleep. No one could make any sense of it. Even the doctors in Canterlot had no answers. But when it came time to head back, Cadence was adamant about not going back. She didn't know why, but she was only in pain in the Crystal Empire, and had no plans to go back any time soon. 
Finally the child arrived and it shocked everyone to see a coal-black foal with a red curved horn. And to make matters worse, the child disappeared soon after; taken from the castle. No one ever found the Lost Prince again.
Tenebris was raised by the Umbrum in the icy norths of the Crystal Empire, they regaled him tales of their Great King Sombra, and how he would one day take over the throne for the Umbrum again. Teaching him dark magic and helping him grow his powers each day. 
Although Tenebris can't remember ever being Sombra, he does have these feelings about things, like an instinct. He never goes near frozen lakes, they terrify him. And he hates being cold; preferring to drape himself in layer upon layer of clothing. And while he has never stepped hoof inside the Crystal Empire, he can't help but feel connected to it, like a warm memory. He's always wanted to check it out, but the Crystal Heart prevents him from getting close.

5. Dark Magic
After Starfall has a falling out with her brother and family, she runs off outside the Empire. There she is found by Tenebris who speaks sweet promises of power in her ear, and she accepts. Tenebris has the ability to turn into a living shadow, but he also has the ability to possess a pony. While possessed, Starfall still has control of her mind and body, but now has Tenebris' power at her disposal. And thanks to his new vessel, Tenebris is able to enter the Crystal Empire without being stopped by the Crystal Heart.

6. Arid Oasis, the son of Pipsqueak and Dinky
When Pipsqueak and Dinky grew up, they moved to Saddle Arabia. There Pip got a job as a Ship Captain on a trading ship, while Dinky became the Court Sorcerer. Pip lives out his dream of sailing the high seas; battling pirates and seeing new and great locations, while Dinky studies the wide variety of Saddle Arabian magical artifacts, and performs any kind of magic the royal family asks of her. (I still don't know how an earth pony could hold a sword, but it completes his look so whatevs).
Arid on the otherhand, does nothing. And he loves it. He is free to do whatever he wants, he can freely come and go from the castle anytime he likes cause he lives there, and he has no responsibilities to attend to. His favourite thing to do is race over the desert sands outside of town. His father tried to get him interested in sailing and trading, but Arid could only spend a week on the ship before he started getting aggravated from cabin fever. Occasionally he helps his mother with the magical artifacts, learning what they can do is interesting, but it's not something he'd always want to do. He's a good friend to the Saddle Arabian royal kids, having grown up together.

6. Crusader Kids
I don't have names for them yet. Or much to say.
The ScootaXGabby one is kinda cowardly, while the DiamondXBloom one loves causing mischief. I'm still figuring out the SweetieXSpike one's hair, he likes rough housing and chasing crickets.
